Small skills for a steadier life. Free, in plain English.
Your welcome gift arrives with the first email.
“Twelve Lessons in One Evening”
Each letter you’re about to receive teaches one skill, drawn from the psychological approaches used in modern clinical care — cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), DBT skills, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and behavioural activation.
Every skill is explained step by step, in plain English, with a five-minute practice you can try the same day. Every practice comes with a plain note on when not to try it. From time to time, a "wisdom issue" looks at what classic writers got right about living well — reflection, not protocol.
What Steady is not. It is not therapy, not diagnosis, and not a substitute for professional care. It teaches skills; it never promises outcomes. If professional support is available to you, we will always encourage it.
How it is written. Steady is an open workshop: AI is used in researching and drafting this newsletter, under human direction and review. We say so plainly, because you deserve to know how the words you read are made.
